Cardamom is the oldest spice in the world that has many benefits to the health of the body. In Malaysia, it is usually grown in the highlands. It is common knowledge that cardamom is well known as the four-legged spice in cooking and it is traditionally chewed with betel nuts. It is believed to help expel wind from the stomach and intestines as well as delay menstruation and urination. Cardamom is said to be the third most expensive spice in the world and is considered the 'queen of spices.
