Sze Chuan Pepper
Sze chuan pepper as know as mala pepper. It is a spice commonly used in sichuan cuisin in China, and in Nepal and also North east India. When eaten , sze chuan pepper produces a tingling, numbing effecr due to the presence of hydrocy-alpha sanshool.It common used in Sichuan dishes suach as mapo toufu, hotpot and added with chili pepper to create a flavour known as 'mala'.
